Cold Infusions
Making a cold infusion produces an herb infused oil that can be used in lotions, salves & ointments.
- Fill completely a large glass jar with a tightly sealing lid with herb flowers or leaves.
- Pour in oil (use olive, canola, sesame, grapeseed or almond oil), covering the herbs & screw on the lid.
- Place jar in a sunny spot for about a month, shaking mixture daily.
- Strain the mixture, capturing oil in another container.
- Transfer oil into a dark bottle & store in a cool, dark place.
