Infusions
Herbal infusions (also known as herbal teas & or tisanes) can be made by infusing the aerial parts, including flowers, stems & leaves, in water.
- If using dried herbs steep for 10 minutes in water that has just come to a boil. Use 1 teaspoon of dried herbs to every cup (8 oz) of water or 1 ounce of dried herbs for every pint. Strain infusion before consuming.
- If using fresh herbs use 3 teaspoons of fresh herbs for every pint of just boiled water. Steep for 10 minutes then strain.
- Infusions may be made in cup sized or larger teapot doses. If using infusion for its medical value, the infusion should be taken in 8 ounce doses 3 times a day.
- To store, cover infusions & store in a cool place. Use within 24 hours.
